Chess Class for Kids
Fees and Details

Chess: (n)- "a mind exerciser that helps develop self-confidence; enhances analytical, cognitive, and concentration skills; and helps foster and cultivate a positive attitude and mind."
 

FORMAT:

Your child does not have to start at the first of the month. As a continuing chess curriculum, chess classes are customized to enable late starts to accomplish the task at hand.

  • Classes are 90-minutes long. Fridays 5:00-6:30PM; or Weekends 9:30-11:AM.
  • Homeschool session Wednesdays 4-5:30 PM, Friday 12:30-2PM.
    There is a short recess of a few minutes during each class. On a regular basis, each class schedule gets a one week break called "REST DAY" every 8 to 10 weeks, check out class schedule.
  • A continuing program established to maximize the learning experiences of each student in a fun and exciting environment. Classes are interactive and engaging. Throughout the course, the class will introduce and cover: opening principles and theories; middlegame strategies and tactics such as pins, forks, skewers, etc; and key endgame techniques. Plus classes will consist of videos and interactive games such as tag team chess, bughouse, and four-man chess...
  • Scholarships for eligible students are available.

Monthly- 4 sessions: $65
2 Months- 8 sessions: $120
Semester (6 months)- 24 session: $320

Intermediate I/IntermediateII*:
Class 201/202

Monthly- 4 sessions: $70
2 Months- 8 sessions: $130
Semester (6 months)- 24 session: $330

 

Advance/Advance II*:
Class 301 / Class 302

Monthly- 4 sessions: $120
2 Months- 8 Sessions: $220
Semester (6 months)- 24 sessions: $600
