FORMAT: Excellent for beginners and intermediate players. Month-long event. USCF rated Swiss. One round per week officially starts at 7:30pm. Players are not obligated to play every round of the month.

Handicap Blitz

FORMAT: 5 rounds- double round robin. ChessPalace club rating used. No experience required.
Registration starts at 7:30pm. Round 1 starts at 8:00pm.
Time control: 5 minutes per player. Handicap rules apply- Allow lower rated players to get time odds against higher rated opponents.
Entry fee: $5 club members, $8 regular
Prizes: $$/entry, and other chess goodies.

Entry Fee: $15 mem, $22 reg. Save $2 if registered 24 hours in advance by phone with credit card or check, received one week prior to event date.
Prizes: 1st- $60; 2nd- $20 gift certicate.

Super 2x Quads

FORMAT: 4 rounds, "Semi-Swiss". First 3 rounds based on Quad format, then optional "Championship Round" for 4th game.
