Saturday Super 2x

Held on the second Saturday of every month. The tournament is a 4-round USCF rated event. Players will be grouped based on ratings for the first 3 rounds and the final round will put two or more groups together for a swiss pairings. Players will not play the same opponent twice. The event also awards prizes based on points instead of place finish starting with a plus score of 2.5/4. This will avoid sharing of prizes and waiting for the final game to determine prize winnings. A one-year pass to all the Super 2x events (12 total) is available at a discounted rate.

 

What: USCF-Rated tournament with 4 rounds

When: Second Saturday of every month. Rds @ 11:30 am, 2:30, 5 & 7:30 pm.
Where: ChessPalace facility @ 5246 Lampson Ave., Garden Grove, CA 92845

Time Control: G/75 w/5 sec delay (sudden death 75 mins with 5 seconds delay)

Entry Fee: $35 regular, $30 CP members

Prizes: Guaranteed based on points:

4/4 - $100

3.5/4 - $65

3/4 - $45

2.5/4 - one free regular entry (Saturday 6-pak, Ocho, Saturday Special, or Amateur Open) or $15 ChessPalace gift certificate
